So Governor Schwarzenegger praises the minutemen and he's called a racist?
The leader of a Mexican American group called the governor's comments "shameful" and "nothing short of base racism."
So I guess if I say the Minutemen are doing a good job by preventing immigrants from illegally crossing the border into the U.S., I'm racist? Because they are enforcing the law and doing what the Federal government should be doing, I'm racist? At least one of the minutemen was able to rebut the hateful talk above:
As far as the charge of racism against the governor, she said: "It's not racist to ask the federal government to enforce its laws. Everyone should be united in wanting to protect our national security."
I completely understand that much of our economy here in Southern California benefits greatly from illegal immigrants, however, it is also a known fact that terrorists have been trying to sneak into the country via Mexico and if just one of them is caught by the Minutemen, then the whole campaign was worthwhile. President Bush knew last term that he needed the Hispanic vote to win re-election, so he's been hesitant to crack down on the border and illegal immigration, but now that he's won a second term, he needs to stop denouncing the Minutemen and start supplementing them with more Border Patrol agents. Better security is never a bad thing in my opinion.

Recently, when I've done searches on Google.com, when the results page shows up, I get a cookie warning from Firefox (I selectively choose which cookies I accept). What's odd is that the cookie request doesn't come from Google, but rather from one of the sites listed in the results. It's very strange and I think it just comes from the top result, but only for certain websites. For example, I searched for "ardent" (just verifying my spelling) and I got a cookie request from ArdentHealth.com which is the top result. I blocked it, but still...why are they sending me a cookie when I haven't even visited their website yet? And why is the cookie coming through Google's search results page?

On a completely different topic now, last night, the Angels beat the Yankees 3-1. This not only ensured the Yankees of ending April with a losing record for the first time in 40 years (I think that was the statistic), but it also gives the Angels two out of the three games in New York. After getting completely destroyed in the first game by Alex Rodriguez and his three homeruns, they settled down and got some good pitching from Washburn and Lackey and took the next two. It was pretty painful to watch the first game, but the Angels really showed what they're made of. They didn't let a huge beat-down get them down. They came out the next day, ready to play a new ballgame and they won the next two. Hopefully they can keep up the win streak as they head into Minnesota tonight.

Over the weekend, I pretty much had nothing to do. The big 40 page application was off to the SDPD and I had nothing going on. So...I caught up on my DVR watching. I watched 6 episodes of 24 (3 back-to-back-to-back Saturday and 3 Sunday). There were some tense moments and some great scenes, but nothing compared to the last five minutes of tonight's episode. Watching it in HD with the surround sound blaring, it was absolutely riveting.

Oh yeah, Chloe kicks ass. Did I mention she's one of my favorite characters?
