Ducks & Angels. What more could you want?

After finishing off the Indiana Jones trilogy and continuing on to The Sum of All Fears, we wanted to continue on to Ray in the movie game. However, I couldn't make a straight shot over there because there are no common actors between the two films (actually, no common actors, directors, writers, stunt people - absolutely no common cast). So I compiled a list of DVDs I either had or thought I had that would connect us to Ray by one film. Those were: Collateral Damage, The Rock, Van Wilder, Speed, Se7en, Deep Impact, I am Sam, Sneakers, Pushing Tin, Runaway Jury or JFK. After digging through my collection, Van Wilder and Sneakers could not be found. So they were either lent out and never returned or they just got lost (most likely the former). I don't own Speed for some very odd reason, yet I do own Speed 2 (Speed has been ordered and should be in my possession soon). I also didn't own Pushing Tin or Collateral Damage despite my thinking to the contrary (Pushing Tin has been ordered). I was foolishly thinking of Summer of Sam insted of I am Sam so that wouldn't work and we had just watched Runaway Jury prior to the game starting. So we moved on to Se7en, one of my favorite movies. After watching that, we were going to watch Ray tonight, but just didn't have time (being over 2.5 hours long) so we moved on to a random film, Three to Tango (which, oddly enough, will connect us to Ray tomorrow night if we continue then). So the updated list looks like thus:

Ray (Rick Gomez and T.B.D.) (up next)
Three to Tango (John C. McGinley and Rick Gomez)
Se7en (Lennie Loftin and John C. McGinley)

I've figured out the board I'm going to use now with my new machine. Only problem...it'll take a while to save for everything I need. But the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI is a sweet board.

Last Tuesday, Deadwood: Season 1 came out on DVD. Unfortunately, the MSRP was $100 and the cheapest I could find was 30% off for $70 - a bit too much for the show (price should come down too). Anyways, Deadwood: Season 2 starts up on March 6th and I just can't wait. Previously I'd have to choose between Alias & Deadwood - both are great in Hi-Def, but now with Alias on Wednesday nights, Sundays are nice and wide open. I wish I could re-watch Season 1 (I guess I could break down and rent it...I just loathe renting so much), but Season 2 can't get here soon enough.
