So Governor Schwarzenegger praises the minutemen and he's called a racist?

The leader of a Mexican American group called the governor's comments "shameful" and "nothing short of base racism."So I guess if I say the Minutemen are doing a good job by preventing immigrants from illegally crossing the border into the U.S., I'm racist? Because they are enforcing the law and doing what the Federal government should be doing, I'm racist? At least one of the minutemen was able to rebut the hateful talk above:
As far as the charge of racism against the governor, she said: "It's not racist to ask the federal government to enforce its laws. Everyone should be united in wanting to protect our national security."I completely understand that much of our economy here in Southern California benefits greatly from illegal immigrants, however, it is also a known fact that terrorists have been trying to sneak into the country via Mexico and if just one of them is caught by the Minutemen, then the whole campaign was worthwhile. President Bush knew last term that he needed the Hispanic vote to win re-election, so he's been hesitant to crack down on the border and illegal immigration, but now that he's won a second term, he needs to stop denouncing the Minutemen and start supplementing them with more Border Patrol agents. Better security is never a bad thing in my opinion.
