I'm not usually a huge fan of Nike - I think all their stuff is overpriced and I've always stuck to Vans and/or Reebok. But their most recent commercial is just awesome. You've got Lance Armstrong in a boxing ring, Randy Johnson bowling, Michael Vick on the ice and Andre Agassi on the diamond. Strangely enough, it's moving, it's captivating, and even though it really doesn't sell anything - just reinforcing the brand - it's a great commercial.

While I've watched some bad films in my cult films class, one of the worst we've had to watch was the thoroughly unwatchable What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (which I quickly mentioned here) Well, tonight, while watching the Simpsons, as I do every Sunday, to my surprise, they included a reference to the film as Lisa pushed Maggie down the stairs as she was in a wheelchair and trying to spell out on her "phonetic frog" - "but, I love you."

What's funny about the reference is I guarantee you that over 75% of the people watching this episode didn't get the reference - nor should they as that movie was absolutely horrific. I just found it odd that they would reference such an old, unwatchable movie on such a "modern" show such as The Simpsons...
