Ducks & Angels. What more could you want?

And...I've made it. Last night I needed 47 yards or a TD from Todd Heap to make it to the finals of our fantasy football league. With a few hundred bucks on the line, it'd be a nice little Christmas present to walk away with next week should I manage to win it all.

All season, I had the team to beat. I started the year winning the first four games and then lost 4 of the next 6 only to end the season on a three game win streak. I ultimately finished in second place in our league with a 9-4 record but finished with the most points scored. A couple of my losses were especially hard to take, including the one week 10 when I lost to the highest score of the season.

But my team has roared back. Following the three game win streak to end the year, I've now won two in a row in the playoffs and have a good chance to take it all. My team put up almost 140 points this week, 120 last week, and I've broken 100 points in the last seven games.

Overall, it's been a fun season - of course, winning helps a lot too. I believe I drafted well, as the team I won with this weekend (140 points) consists of all players I drafted except one. I traded for Marvin Harrison around week 10 and he's paid off huge with my QB of Peyton Manning. Double points on every TD is a great bonus, yet I don't have too much riding on just one team as a couple of other players did.

So, with Peyton most likely sitting this week and Marvin taking it easy as well, I'll have to see how my backups do in the final game. David Garrard faces Houston and should be able to put up a respectable score and I might use Drew Bennett for the first time as he's been sitting on my bench injured all year.

When all is said and done, I had a great year, and it was great fun playing against some of my closest friends and my team for next year is looking pretty good. I have one more year to keep Rudi Johnson and I've got three years of keeper status for Willie Parker who I took in the last round of the draft. Always something to look forward to...

In the past two weeks, I've been to three clubs. In my life, I've been to three clubs. I am not a club person. I don't dance. But...if you get me drunk, I might agree to go with you. And yes, I'm drunk blogging. How sad is that?

Anyhoo...three clubs, no fun times had...it's just not my element. But drunk blogging is quite fun. Started with a double vodka tonic and continued through two other pubs with the same and now I'm having a Dr. Pepper and SoCo. Never thought it would be good, but it is...odd...

Odd being up this late, but definitely having a good time. Bachelor parties are fun (company Christmas party last week was awesome as well - though not as fun as this party).

And many thanks to the Crowne Plaza Irvine for putting up with us over the weekend. Back to my Dr. Pepper and SoCo.
