Just a couple things before I go into to work today. First - I shouldn't have to go to work. You would be surprised as to how many people called to see if we were open and how many people came in yesterday thinking we would be closed Friday to mourn Ronald Reagan. But alas, we are not closed. We will probably be slow all day, and I will probably go crazy trying to find stuff to do.

Secondly, watching the Lakers game last night was literally sickening. But afterwards, I realized a couple things: Detroit's defense is as good as everyone says it is, the Lakers offense is just pitiful, and, if the Lakers don't win this year, that's fine with me. Sure, as a fan, I'd love to see them win, but I wouldn't be completely heart broken to see both Malone and Peyton leave without a ring. I just want to return to the team of three years ago. The team that worked together, the team that still had it's fair share or problems, but a team that wasn't put together just to win one ring - they were there for the long haul. Next year, I want to see more Walton, more Rush, more team players. Less of these self-centered, egotistical ball whores (Peyton, you especially). Go fishing. Go retire. You were never truly welcomed here on the Lakers.

As much as it hurts to see the Angels lose their 4th game in a row (and now going on 32 innings without scoring a run), tonight's game was great. The Brewers tied a major league record with 26 strikeouts through 17 innings, but still won the game in the top of the 17th. The Angels on the other hand, just couldn't do anything right (though they are missing 6 of their starting 9 players) as they were held hitless until the 7th and only had 2 hits through 14. In the end, the score was as follows:

I'm in love with my Axim. After a few initial SNAFUs (since I've never used a PocketPC before), I think I've got everything working (it helps that I got the cradle today - genius of Dell to ship the PDA & cradle separately). Today at work, I tried finding some hotspots, but there aren't any close enough to connect from my actual work, but I think if I go across the street to Wendy's for lunch, I might be able to get online. According to the map linked below, there's some open hotspots I might be able to get into (nothing illegal...) in the apartment complex behind the Wendy's. So we'll see. If you ever see me online on AOL Instant Messenger as "mCyrderf" (mobile cyrderf), drop me a line. I'll be on my PDA.

I hate to admit it, but tonight, I watched The WB's Superstar USA. It's such a trainwreck, so awful, even though you should, you just can't look away. And while, one minute I'm laughing, the next, I'm feeling sorry for them. They truly think they are amazing performers. They truly think they have talent and can sing. But they are just so horrible, it's painful to even listen to five seconds of them. It's really just so wrong what they're doing to these people (though they do get a nice cash prize), but, in the end, it's quite entertaining...poor Jo Jo - he just wasn't bad enough to advance.
