Ducks & Angels. What more could you want?

2004/06/11

Just a couple things before I go into to work today. First - I shouldn't have to go to work. You would be surprised as to how many people called to see if we were open and how many people came in yesterday thinking we would be closed Friday to mourn Ronald Reagan. But alas, we are not closed. We will probably be slow all day, and I will probably go crazy trying to find stuff to do.

Secondly, watching the Lakers game last night was literally sickening. But afterwards, I realized a couple things: Detroit's defense is as good as everyone says it is, the Lakers offense is just pitiful, and, if the Lakers don't win this year, that's fine with me. Sure, as a fan, I'd love to see them win, but I wouldn't be completely heart broken to see both Malone and Peyton leave without a ring. I just want to return to the team of three years ago. The team that worked together, the team that still had it's fair share or problems, but a team that wasn't put together just to win one ring - they were there for the long haul. Next year, I want to see more Walton, more Rush, more team players. Less of these self-centered, egotistical ball whores (Peyton, you especially). Go fishing. Go retire. You were never truly welcomed here on the Lakers.
