Ducks & Angels. What more could you want?

Today was by far and away my most productive day for Folding at Home. Four different computers turned in work units with both Arion and Atlas turning in multiple units. Pegasus finished a bit 600 pointer and the new and improved Helios (formerly Behemoth) kicked in 246 points. With today's points, I easily jumped into the top 2,000 on the [H]ardOCP team, the [H]orde. I actually moved up 150 spots - from 2,005 to 1,855. Overall, for all Folding at Home participants, I moved up over 7,000 to just over 60,000th spot (when I started tracking at 3,412 points, my ranking was 100,800). I have now completed 8,319 points for Folding at Home in 36 work units and I'm heading towards 10,000 quickly now (averaging around 460 points per day).

I'm still working on getting Menoetius online, but still can't get any video out of it. I've ordered a PCI video card though and that should arrive early this week. I also have plans to modify Pandora's Box since it is still running a bit hot. I'm going to add two extra exhaust fans on the back and also move the KVM to the back panel. This will reduce the number of computers allowed inside to just three, but it's running hot enough at two, four would be overkill, even with the added exhaust. So, hopefully the PCI video card will allow me to get Menoetius up and running in Pandora's Box and increased airflow should help reduce temps. I swapped out an old heatsink on Epimetheus because the computer kept on returning bad units and temperatures dropped significantly (and the new heatsink (a stock AMD Socket A heatsink and fan) is much quieter). If I have some spare cash on the next paycheck (doubtful), I'll probably get a couple of Arctic Cooling heatsink and fans to put in Pandora's box - should lower temperatures on the CPUs a bit and also be a lot quieter than the ones in there already.
