Not much going on right now, so not much to blog about. I recently read an article over at ChrisMyden.com on how to not retire poor and one over at Morningstar.com on how compounding really helps portfolios out. So, even though I've got a Roth IRA set up, I opened up an account at Ameritrade and hope to put aside just $20/week to invest in ETFs. Assuming $1000/year @ 10%, according to Morningstar, you'll have over $790,000 at age 70. Not too shabby. Of course, as income goes up, so should my contribution. Myden suggests 10% of each paycheck to go into this investment, however, factoring in the Roth IRA as well, we'll see what happens. Also, since my pay sucks so royally right now, even 10% is hard to put away - I'm already trying to put away $125 per paycheck for the IRA (which is way over 10% already).

On another note, last week, I had a short orientation/interview with the San Diego Sheriff's Department. They seemed much more organized than the other place I applied and from what I heard in that short orientation, I'm thinking I'd like to work there more than the other departments. I'm still going to apply around Orange a little more since both of my first applications could fall through, but right now, I'm leaning heavily toward the SDSD.

So...the movie game continued the past few weeks and I didn't have a chance to update the list. From Blue Crush, we went to The Replacements and from there, we moved on to the Tarantino Collection which finished up on Monday night with back-to-back watchings of Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2. I just hope he really does release a Kill Bill Unrated in theaters combining both movies in the form they were meant to be seen.
