It's about time we left Europe to fend for themselves and started to look out more for ourselves. It's all well and good that we left 70,000 soldiers in Germany following World War II, and it's nice that we still have a lot of soldiers in South Korea, but let's face facts. Germany, France & the "Axis" are no longer our enemies. North Korea is not going to launch a sneak attack against South Korea. Our real enemies are the unseen jihadists who believe that they can affect change through suicide. While I like the move to modernize our forces overseas and bring many of our troops home, I have to agree with the analyst I saw on television today. While this is a good move, it should not have been a move made as the presidential race heats up. Though I doubt Kerry would have had the guts to make a move like this if he becomes president. After all, he'll only retaliate AFTER the U.S. has been attacked.
